Two weeks ago I picked about 10 lbs. of fresh strawberries from a strawberry patch near my home. A girl that goes to the high school I went to started the strawberry patch as part of her FFA project. The National FFA Organization is an agricultural science education program. I was a member during high school and into college and I believe it is a great program – to learn more about it visit the National FFA Org. Website.

Back to the strawberries – After picking, I cleaned and sliced and then froze about 2/3 of them to use for baking later. So far I have made several things – including the Strawberry Cheese Squares, Strawberry Bread, and Chocolate Strawberry Triffle shown below. Look for those recipes over the next few days!
