Oreo Cookie Balls

I have made oreo cookie balls on several occasions and everyone always loves them. The recipe I use for these is widely available on the internet at many sites, so it is not too much of a secret, but now I am going to share it too. For the chocolate you can use milk chocolate bark or white chocolate bark or you could purchase melting chocolate from a craft store. If you wanted you could use chocolate chips but melting chocolate and chocolate bark are easier to use for dipping. If you are watching what you eat, and do not want to add to the oreos and chocolate, low-fat or fat-free cream cheese both work perfectly in this recipe!

It. is. SO. simple:

1 pkg. oreo cookies
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
melting chocolate

Crush the oreo cookies or put into a food processor to crush. Blend in the cream cheese until well mixed. Roll into balls and chill about an hour.

Melt chocolate in a double boiler. If you do not have one, a pot with water on the bottom and a smaller glass bowl that fits tightly into the pan works – but do not get water in the chocolate.

Dip the oreo balls into the chocolate and set on waxed paper to harden. When set, store in tupperware in refrigerator.
