Peanut Butter Fudge Bars

I got the idea for these bars from the Peanut Butter Fudge Bars recipe on the Betty Crocker website. That recipe calls for Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix and double chocolate chunk cookie mix. I wanted to make this from scratch so I just used peanut butter and chocolate cookie dough I made. I proportioned all of the ingredients in the cookie recipes so that I would use 1 egg in each.

1 recipe of chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough
1 recipe of peanut butter cookie dough
1 c. milk chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2-3 Tbsp. milk

Drop spoonfuls of each to cover the bottom of a greased 9×13″ baking pan. Swirl the doughs together and press evenly in the pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let stand ~ 2 minutes and then spread chocolate chips over the cookie. Mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar and milk to make frosting. Spoon over chocolate chips and swirl together. Sprinkle with peanuts, if desired. Let cool completely and cut into bars.
