As you can see, these cookies made from chocolate cookie dough loaded with chocolate chips, a Hershey’s Kiss baked in the center and covered in chocolate sprinkles, are deserving of the name I choose: “The Chocolate Lovers Cookie”.

With Valentine’s Day less than 2 weeks away, it seems to be a fitting time of the year to share these! If you like to give a small gift to family, friends or neighbors and want a change of pace from decorated sugar cookies, either this cookie or the Valentine’s Two-Tone Crinkle Cookies I posted a couple weeks ago would be a good option!
I completely made up the recipe in this post, but I got the idea for these cookies after seeing this recipe for Super-Duper Chocolate Kisses on the Better Homes and Gardens website.
My recipe is from scratch, but if you are pressed for time or don’t have all of the ingredients you could follow those instructions to prepare the dough and still put the kiss in the center like I do in this recipe.
First mix up the dough following the instructions below (or to start from refrigerated dough follow the BHG instructions).
Using a 1/4 cup scoop, drop the dough by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and place an unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each.
Using a 1/4 cup scoop, measure out another spoonful of dough. Place this on top of the kiss and seal the edges around the kiss with the dough on the bottom. Form a ball and roll in chocolate sprinkles.
Place back on cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 12-15 minutes or until done. There is a LOT of dough so these will take longer than the average cookie.
